With twitter growing more popular by the day, We thought we’d share some of our favourite apps for Twitter! Here’s some of our favorites for all formats!
Tweetdeck (PC & Mac)
The heavy weight of tweeting apps, Tweetdeck is a Adobe AIR based app and has a endless amount of tools to use deep within its core. Extremely easy to use and sometimes very helpful. The way tweetdeck works is it is displayed in panels. You can have your replies in one panel or even your direct messages. Recently they added the ability to read and update your facebook status from tweetdeck. All you had to do was click the panel and allow it in Facebook. It also has built in Twitpic uploading, Which I love! The one thing I found very good when I started using Tweetdeck, but then got annoying was its noise it makes when someone updates. It’s rather annoying after a while but I guess you could get used to it! Unlike me….
Technoblast gives it: 8/10
Spaz (PC & Mac)
Despite it’s rather stupid name, Spaz is a rather neat little twitter app. Again it runs on Adobe AIR, Which a lot of these apps seem to do, and offers lots of useful tools for twitter. It’ll shorten your URLS, as most of these apps do, you can theme it with CSS which is rather cool. And best of all has No Ads! Spaz seems like the app for the ‘developer’ type. But defiantly worth a look!

Tweetie (Mac Only)
Tweetie is pretty new on the twitter app front. I used to use tweetdeck but Tweetie blew it out of the water and is my personal fav! It looks beautiful and is such a pleasure to use! It displays tweets just like the iPhone displays text messages. Posting tweets is easy as pie and opening twitpic links is my favorite thing about Tweetie. Forget just click and it opening in a browser window, Tweetie opens them in a rather cool ‘Quick Look’ style window. It really is a beautiful application. You can customize it to your preferences by setting which service you want to use to shorten url’s and to upload images to.
Technoblast gives it: 9/10
