iPod Refresh Time!

Posted on 09 September 2008 by Tom

LETS ROCK!

Well it was iPod refresh day today and boy did we get our plateful! We got a new iTunes update, New iPod Nano designs, A new iPod Touch design and more!

Nano:

Well I have to be honest from the spy shots I didn’t really like it! It does look pretty neat with the colours they have now though but the ‘nano-chromatic’ name? No thanks! The new features are as follows. New cover flow just like the touch. The accelerometer work when you turn it on your side coverflow appears! Also now when you shake the new nano it shuffles to a new track. Neat! Also the new ‘Genius’ playlist creation system, which find songs that are supposedly ’similar’, is built in as well. The new UI is exactly, well not exactly, like the touches. It’s all pretty nice. I think I’m going to run down to Curry’s and have a feel ;)

Touch:

The touches turn next! Personally I’m a touch owner and I wish I had this. the touch now has a lovely shiny metal curved back. Also the new touch has a built in speaker just to annoy people on the bus Basically like a metal version of the iPhone 3G. No new features apart from the ‘Genius Playlist’ built in on the move. Also the Nike+ trainer is now supported and looks fantastic! I seemed in the Keynotes that apple are pushing it for the gaming side now with the App Store. Titles soon to be released include Need For Speed and more!

Hang on a minute jobs, Your dieing!

Well no he isnt, but as a funny little sidenote he flashed up a slide quoting Mark Twain saying “The reports of my death are greatly exaggerated” What a genius!
